Jet Ski or Waverunner rentals are another fun and popular activity for any beach vacation, and Fort Myers Beach offers a number of different locations and companies to rent from.
Many of the Jet Ski rental companies are located directly on the beach, and a few also offer Dolphin tours which usually run along the bay side of Estero Island.
Please remember safety when you rent a Waverunner. Look to make sure the equipment is modern, you have a fully functional lifejacket (aka PFD) and an emergency communication device, such as a whistle or air horn should you need to get someone’s attention. Also be sure to ask for proof of insurance coverage.
Island Watersports – Located at 1668 I Street, they are close to town although not right in the middle of it all. Unfortunately no rates are published on their site, and I’m not personally familiar with their rates.
Holiday Water Sports – They rent from in front of the Pink Shell, Best Western and DiamondHead resorts. Rates are $65 for 1/2 hour and $95 for a full hour.
Mid Island Watersports – If you’re looking for a rental at the south end of the beach, here is your selection. Rentals available at Holiday Inn at the south end, and Sandpiper Resort a little further north in mid-island.
