Dog Beach
Even though there are dog parks in the area, if your dog loves the water, it will have more fun at the beach. Its not illegal to take your dog to Fort Myers Beach, and dogs are allowed off the leash at this area of the beach. It is significant to note that cleanup stations are provided. Be sure to pick up after your dog.
Note however, that you will need to have a copy of health records with you at all times. The beach is run by Lees County Parks and Recreation. Note however, that dogs are not allowed in state parks, which means no dogs inside Lovers Key State Park. Don’t confuse this with Lovers Key Dog Park where dogs are welcome, as mentioned above.

Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf course at Fort Myers Beach is an 18-hole Adventure style miniature golf course situated on the fantastic Barry Island promenade and features a live educational alligator exhibit.
