Fresh Catch Bistro is my new favorite restaurant on the beach. The food was really, really good, and the atmosphere is modern yet relaxing.

I am not usually an oyster fan, but the oyster sashimi was out of this world. We ordered a second one because the first one was so good! Everything our group ate was very good, from the scallops to the cioppino and even the complimentary bread with olive oil and pesto was fantastic.

Prices ranged around $12 for appetizers and $25-35 for most entrees.

    Now for some constructive critique:
    – Drinks were expensive
    – The Cioppino should have something to soak up that wonderful sauce with. Pasta or risotto would be my choice.
    – The sweet chili sauce on the pecan crusted fish dish tastes a bit too much like the one I buy from Trader Joes. I’m not saying it is the same, it just tastes exactly like it and diminished the experience a little for me.

All that being said, I would still highly recommend Fresh Catch and give it a 9.5 out of 10.

Wow! My husband, daughter, and myself just returned from a sunset dinner at the Fresh Catch Bistro (June 17, 2013). My husband ordered sea bass with carribean jerk spice and a tropical salsa topping and I had the key lime jerk mahi mahi. Oh my goodness! Then dessert was offered, we couldn’t decide so we had two! The berry cheesecake and banana foster were unbelievable. Larry our server made the banana foster table side with banana liquor then Myers dark rum to flambé it! What an experience! I have no complaints. After reading others posts, expect a pricey dinner, this is a fine dining experience. My 9 year old daughter is well behaved so we didn’t worry about taking our child. They do have a verbal kids menu, the waiter can tell you. If you want outside dining at sunset, make reservations. We are leaving in two days and I am so glad we chose this restaurant despite reading some of the more negative reviews. Tip well. It is well deserved! 🙂 Thank you Larry!

While we enjoyed the food and our server we had a problem with the electronic payment not in service. We were not informed prior to eating. When we informed the on site manager he basically called us liars!! All patrons had been informed. My husband had to drive to Wells Fargo to obtain cash. The manger, a real cold fish,
Offered no compensation for our trouble. We will never eat there again.
